I was born in 1965 in Novosibirsk, Siberia, but since the age of five, I've lived in St. Petersburg (Leningrad). Although I left my city on a number of occasions, I always returned with much love, and was always welcomed back.
Holland is a country that I have conscious decision to live in, not least for how much it has in common with St. Petersburg. It is this fact that helps me not to miss my own city. After my travels to many other countries, I feel that I am happiest in this small country, Holland (the Hague)
In my youth I studied music, then later began with drawing and painting. To combine my love for these three arts, I chose to study art in the Art Academy Faculty of St. Petersburg. There I studied for one year before I came to the realization that my creativity could be better developed elsewhere, and I made the switch to a Director’s Public Show at the Institute of Culture in St. Petersburg. I successfully completed my diploma in 1990.
Drawing has always been a big part of my life and I have a real passion for it. My profession by theatre director enabled me to visualize the entire life cycle of an artwork. For this reason I am able to better direct the entire development process of the art object.
I believe that an artist tries to express himself in a way not yet done, and therefore is always searching for new methods to do this.
