Rosehips
In the fall when the winds get chilly and the tempertures drop, the roses also prepare themselves for hibernation. A "hip" is formed in the end of the stem that is loaded with nutriants that the rose will need thru out the winter months. Native Americans and survivalists eat the rose hips for special vitamins and food in the winter months.
