the intense stare from the eyes of a snowy owl. owls all hunt at night and have superb night-sight, would put a night-scope to shame. the snowy owl is not white all year long, only during the winter months. they keep shelter and nests usually in barns and out buildings in agricultural areas where mice and rats scavage for the grains in the fields. the farmer owes all kinds of owls a big thanks of gratitude, as without them thier grain yield would be much less than they have today.
