As a relatively new emerging artist, Erin has completed a number of successful commissions and exhibitions to date. While studying her degree in Textiles she developed a strong interest in colour, line and particularly texture. This essentially established her style of painting and composition.
Erin is predominantly an abstract painter taking inspiration from landscape and nature. The paintings start with a representation of a form or structure and become an expression of colour and space. This process can be time consuming as layers of colour and texture are applied to the surface to create a unique composition. Her medium is generally oil paints, although she has used acrylics for larger pieces, as it allows her to experiment with various textural applications.
