THIS ART WAS CREATED TO BE INSPIRATIONAL,
EMOTIONAL, AND THOUGHT EVOKING.
In June of 2004, I woke at 3:00 am with an idea of a style. I hadn’t yet painted, but I already knew what my art would look like. I purchased paints and brushes the next day. Ever since that day I have been painting as fast as I can. I am already exploring several different directions and the list of ideas keeps growing. On much of my work, I like to create a rich surface, using very heavy paint application in combination with long continuous brush strokes. I also
like to evoke thought and conversation through morphing, visual metaphors, hidden images, and optical illusions.
MULTIFUNCTIONALISM
I'm also experimenting with something that I call "Multifunctionalism". I created the term because so far, I can’t find any examples of it, or any other names for it. Multifunctionalism is where a two dimensional form is so abstract in representation, that the form may play multiple roles (or have multiple functions) at the same time. Sometimes a single item/form can actually have four functions/
rolls or more. Examples of Multifunctionalism can be found in the Music Pieces, Animal Pieces, and some other pieces also. In the future, I plan to present
additional new ideas including: “Mutualism,
“Variationism and “Linkism.
