Banana Pod
The blossoms of a Banana Tree are
hidden inside a master bud, at the end of a heavy hanging stem which grows longer
and longer. As it does, the master Bud produces more and more groups of blossoms and thereby increases the number of fruits above it. The large Petals
fold back and turn a crimson color until they
fall away and reveal the Bananas inside the
Master Bud.
Here, the Banana leaves play host to groupings of morning glories.
