Kristina Zimbakova: Philologist and Artist
Exhibitions:
My first art participation was at the Youth Fine Art Colony in Strumica in 1992, as a secondary school student.
In May 2006 I had my first solo exhibition in the British Council in Skopje, the Republic of Macedonia. A selection of the best paintings of my fifteen-year art work until then were showcased.
In October 2007 I was a Featured Artist at the Sylvia Plath 75th Year Interdisciplinary Symposium held at Oxford University, the United Kingdom. A number of my paintings inspired by the American 20th century poet Sylvia Plath were displayed at the group exhibition at the Oxford Playhouse, and at the University I also had a presentation on the specific relations between my paintings and Plath poems.
In January 2008, I had my second solo exhibition, in the Municipality Hall in Bosilovo.
My most recent show is the exhibition with another artist at USAID Residence, Skopje, 11 April, 2008.
