Norma Nuyles Robinson was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Inspired by her surroundings and the different cultures she experienced and embraced in her journey through life, Norma has been painting and drawing as a hobby for several years. She is self-taught and uses various mediums including watercolor, pastels, oils, acrylic and pencils. Passionate about drawing and painting, her art is a display of vibrant colors and vivid images. Unlimited in her style, Norma paints everything from rustic sceneries to seascapes, from mundane objects to portraits and profiles. She experiments with traditional realism and modern impressionism. Norma's first solo exhibit was held in Northern California at the Fremont Art Association Gallery in August 2004. Her artwork is quickly growing a following. Look forward to hearing a lot more about this artist! -Bio by SJordan, artist.
'...She is an engaging and energetic personality who bubbles in life as well as on canvas. The vibrancy of color and simplicity of design of one piece is contrasted by the drama and complexity of another piece. She shares her passion with color and image.... Keep an eye out and catch her next show.' - by W.Fred Crow, Milpitas Post, Sept 2, 2004, pg 34.
Norma is featured as an artist at the Filipinas Magazine, August 2006 issue, pg 23-24 (see the on-line edition at http://www.filipinasmag.com).
