The artist's father was a Hemingway caliber writer, a statesman, a rising political star & legend of the Dominican Republic, Ramon Marrero Aristy, one of the top fifty most important literary & historical icons of that country. His mother, Dorif F. Marcano de Davis, also a columnist, brief war correspondent during the Dominican 1965 political revolution of the Dominican Republic that was the beginning of Democracy for that country.After the war she established the first post war charity organization called the Dominican Children Fund or DOMICEF, benefiting the orphans of that incident. She was also a travel business owner executive till 1987.
