As an artist I enjoy drawing, painting, and sculpture and I also enjoy crafts. I have a BFA from Clarion University of PA and I also worked on my masters degree but I became disatisfied with the classes so I stoped.
My art is very much emotion driven and reflective of my life, friends and occurances. I enjoy color, form, pattern and rhythm in my works, portraying my way of seeing life.
The color pencil/marker pieces are vibrant with color. Several relate to my grand daughters as their interest in the alphabet surfaces. Others relate to my interest in perspective and surrealism.
My most recent sculptures are carved alabaster. The subjects range from my interest in birds to abstraction of form and movement.
I have been interested in art most of my life, having taught as a military dependant while overseas at military instilations. Learning has been a progression from childhood to college, learning much more about art and myself, to the present and until I cease to exist. I will never stop learning and I hope to pass on to beginning artists that they should never cease to learn, everything you do teachs you something, just keep working and growing and no one can stop you.
